This Privacy Policy explains how Ideal Days Company Limited ("we", "us"),
the maker of AuthorDeck, handles information. AuthorDeck is a
local-first application: the core of the product is designed so that your
writing stays on your own computer.
The short version
Your writing never leaves your machine. AuthorDeck runs its AI models locally on your own computer. Your ideas, drafts, manuscripts, and generated stories are not sent to us, to Google, or to any third party, and we never see or store them.
No cloud, no content telemetry. The app does not transmit the content you create.
We collect only what is needed to sell you a licence and keep it working.
Information we collect
Purchase information — when you buy AuthorDeck, our third-party payment provider (acting as merchant of record) collects your name, email address, and billing details in order to process the payment and send your receipt and licence key. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Licence & activation data — to enforce the licence (one purchase, up to three of your own devices) the app checks your licence key with us once at first activation and records a device count/identifier. After that, the app works offline.
Website data — our website uses privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics (via Cloudflare) to understand traffic. This does not build advertising profiles of you.
Support communications — if you email us, we keep that correspondence to help you.
How we use information
To process your purchase, deliver and validate your licence, provide support, keep the software
secure, and comply with our legal and tax obligations. We do not sell your personal
information.
Third parties we rely on
Our payment provider / merchant of record — processes payments, invoicing, and global tax on our behalf, under its own privacy policy.
Google Gemma models — these run locally on your device; using AuthorDeck does not send your content to Google.
Data retention
We keep purchase and licence records for as long as needed to support your licence and to meet
legal, accounting, and tax requirements in Thailand.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under Thailand's PDPA and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the
right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to its
use. To make a request, email admin@authordeck.ai.
Children
AuthorDeck is intended for adults. It is a creative-writing tool that can generate mature fiction,
and it is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly. Material changes
will be reflected on this page.
